In the 17th round of the EPL, Tottenham hosted Liverpool. The main event was the goal by Swedish forward Alexander Isak and his injury.
On the 55th minute, Isak opened the scoring after a pass from Wirtz, but right away he collided with Mickey van de Ven and started holding his knee. A few minutes later the striker left the field with help from the medics.
Despite Isak’s injury, Liverpool won 2-1 and moved up to fifth place in the EPL (29 points). Tottenham stayed in 13th (22 points).
Reminder, Isak is a key player for the Swedish national team, which Ukraine will play in the semi-final of the World Cup 2026 playoffs in March.
