American tennis player Madison Keys talked about her plans for the Australian Open 2026.
“I think there will be pressure, of course – after all, I’m the defending champion. It would be weird to say it doesn’t exist. But it all depends on how you look at it. It’s a huge achievement, and for me it’s a great honor to head to a Grand Slam tournament as the champion for the first time in my career.
I’m really looking forward to the whole Australian swing. It’s always one of my favorite times of the year, so I’m truly excited to be back.
Of course, the end of the season didn’t go the way I wanted, but that’s sport sometimes – not everything goes perfectly. However, I had one of the best seasons in my career. So in the coming weeks I want to work on myself, add a few things to my game and try to start the new year strong,” said Madison.
