The seven-time Grand Slam champion, former world number one, 45-year-old American tennis player Venus Williams shared her thoughts on whether her sister, 23-time Grand Slam winner and 44-year-old Serena Williams, might come back to the WTA tour.
“I can only speak for myslef. I cant even get her to step on the court, shes not training (laughs). In my opinion, a comeback is extremly unlikely,” said the older Williams at a press conference.
The younger Williams retired from professional tennis in 2022. Throughout her career, Serena won 367 matches at Grand Slam tournaments, which remains a record in womens tennis.
